DESIGNERS

Each designer featured by Bruta is part of an ongoing dialogue, selected and presented in direct collaboration.

We aim to present each designer’s work in context, introducing it to a wider creative audience in a way that respects its intention and origin.

Bruta acts as a bridge, connecting designers and audiences through a shared language.

SCFLD

SCFLD is a multidisciplinary study applying architectural design methodology as a total narrative. Based in Los Angeles, Garments are approached not as protective shells, but as compartmentalised assemblages. objects that carry activity, emotion, and context. Every seam holds embedded logic. Every node reflects precision. Every component operates within a larger system.

At its core is the scaffold, a form of “prosthetic architecture” that supports, protects, and augments. These structures are designed to merge with the wearer, becoming extensions of the body. Embracing temporality, SCFLD accepts aging and deterioration as part of the design intent, with each piece ultimately shaped by its owner.

Within the world of BRUTA, this approach aligns through a shared focus on construction, material narrative and the potential of garments to transform the body. Here, garments becomes system, where structure, function, and emotion converge. Engineered to be operated. Built to be dismantled.

INHALF

INHALF [ : : ENOUGH ] is guided by the idea that less is sufficient. A brand that pursues refinement through simplicity. Rooted in the tradition of the Japanese Tabi, each piece is reinterpreted through a modern, structured language.

Based in Korea, INHALF draws from the Meiji Restoration era, a period of transformation and cultural convergence. They balance Eastern elegance with Western rationality. Material and construction remain central.

Each shoe is crafted by hand using considered materials, allowing structure, comfort, and durability to exist in quiet alignment. An approach grounded in discipline, where every element serves a purpose.

Within BRUTA, INHALF reflects a shared focus on silhouette, materiality, and restraint. Design is resolved through form and reduced to its most essential expression.

VAGUE BLACK

Non-gender. Non-trend. Non-issue. VAGUE operates from a place of ambiguity, where identity, silhouette, and wearable convention are left open rather than prescribed.

Rejecting the fixed structures of fashion, the brand moves beyond seasonality and categorisation, allowing individuality and personal interpretation to take precedence over trend. Bold proportions, fluid construction, and functional detailing create garments that balance structure with movement.

Black remains central to the brand’s language. Not as absence, but as concentration, where texture, cut, and subtle construction become more visible and intentional. Operating from a private atelier in Tbilisi, Georgia, VAGUE approaches production through slower, more deliberate processes using natural fabrics and considered construction.

Within BRUTA, VAGUE reflects a shared focus on silhouette, materiality, and restraint, where garments move beyond definition, and individuality emerges through form.
